  • 67 day @ Australia

Today was a crazy shopping day for Karen but not for me. I had a discussion with her this afternoon and planned our sembreak trip to Sydney and Canberra. After finishing our planning stuff, we started our shopping. As Karen had to buy some summer clothes both for herself and her younger sister, we went to a shop and she has found a dress which was quite nice and suitable to wear during her TP in second semester. She asked me to try it and let her have a look. I wore it and I thought that it was nice. Karen turned out spending AUD 56 dollar to buy a dress & a T-shirt. She later on also bought a silver butterfly ring & bangle as well (quite beautiful actually) and costed her AUD 28.

We had our lunch in Bento which was a Japanese Restuarant near the bus stop.

After having lunch @ Bento, I went to Cotton on body to look for a pair of sunglasses and I found a black one which was very cool indeed. Karen highly recommended me to purchase this item and wore it when I arrived in the HK international airport to pretend to be a "star" XDDDD!!!!.

    * I haven't buy this item yet since I needed to watch for my pocket. I may buy this item if the price of this sunglass can be lower XDDD!!!

Today I went to Tribe again and I found another Opal Jewellery Collection which was so stunning. I have told the sales that I have previously brought a turquoise ring in this shop and I asked whether I could take a photo of the opal jewellery collection.

    Here were the collection:

For the bracelet, it consisted of 12 small opal stone and it costed AUD 390. For the charm, it costed AUD 498. For the white opal ring, it costed AUD 86.  Honestly speaking, I really wanted to buy the bracelet as I actually wore on my right hand and it was so pretty and elegant. I needed to ask for my parents' opinion to see whether I could buy this item.

By the way, me & Karen today finally brought the map for both Sydney & Canberra. I also asked for my host dad Philp's opinion and he highly recommended me to go to New South Wales Art Gallery as well as Sydney Tower Restaurant. For Sydney Tower Restuarant, it was the prestigious landmark in Sydney and it served 5 stars meals. Since I have already booked the ticket to Sydney Tower with Karen, I may ask her if she has an interest to have a lunch in this prestigious landmark.

  • 64th day @ Australia

Today was a wonderful day to me!! I had a dinner with my host parents in a club called Wests Illawarra. (It took 15 mins to drive from Wollongong to Fight Tree). It was a buffet dinner and you could take whatever food that you wanted to eat. The food there was very nice and delicious. It costed AUD 19.8 per person to have a dinner in there. After finishing my dinner, my host dad asked if I had an interest to go to Casino which was inside the club. I have only spent AUD 1 dollar to play for 1 round. Although I lost in the game, it was still a good experience to me.

Here were some photos which I have taken today:

  • 63rd day @ Australia

Today I have bought my silver Turquoise ring in the shop Tribe at CBD as for my 21 years old birthday gift.  The design of this ring is elegant and nice and the price is reasonable as well as it only costs me AUD 46 (around HKD $300). If I buy the same size of Turquoise ring in Links London or Tiffany & Co, it will cost me over HKD $4000-5000.

By the way, I finally found the opal in Tribe which my mum and dad have mentioned it over and over again on skype.  I found an extremely beautiful opal charm which size like a HKD $5 coin and costed around AUD 500 lor!!!!! Anyway, I will see if I can find a cheaper one when I go to Sydney.

Here are the photos which I have taken today:

I extremely want to buy the turquoise necklace in the 2nd role of the shelf. But the price of this necklace is AUD 350 dollars which is totally out of my budget.

Next week, I have lots of assignments to finish: 3 reflection reports (finish 2 already actually), photographic analysis & ethnography questionaire draft. I need to work hard and Ko all this stuff before I start my sem break trip to Sydney and Canberra.

  • 61st day @ Australia

Today me, Karen & Nicholas have gone to Corrimal High School to have our school visit. We have visited the Year 10 Science and Maths lessons as well as Year 8 Science lesson. Based on my observation, the learning attitude of the students in this school was just fair. Some of them did have behavioral problems in class. As my host mum mentioned before, the students studying in Corrimal High School usually came from Low SES (social economic status) background and some of them came from single parent family as well.

Here were some of the photos which I have taken today:

After finishing the school visit, I went to the CBD with Karen as she needed to buy a box of tissue. We actually found an Indian Accessories shop called Trees For Life selling some necklaches, scarfs and bracelets which were very nice design and the price of the products were reasonable as well. I probably would buy a turquoise necklache (my host mum highly recommended indeed) and a bracelet as my 21-year-old birthday present XDDDD!!

By the way, me and Karen had our afternoon tea today in the same ice-cream shop which we went a week ago . Karen suggested that we tried all the favor in this ice-cream shop before we came back to Hong Kong lor!!!!
